Little Deal Cottage – Elusive Criminal With A Penchant for Sausage Meat In Deal

Reports have been flooding in of a new elusive criminal terrorising the beautiful town and beaches of Deal. The nimble thief has been stealing baked goods, pastries and, in particular, sausage rolls from the very hands of his victims. He’s not picky, he shows no loyalty to residents or visitors. He would snatch the crown from the Queen’s head if it took his fancy, and if it was edible, perhaps made from sausage meat. So, ‘who is this reprobate?’ I hear you cry. ‘Who is this much feared, most wanted, foul-mouthed wretched criminal, scouring our beautiful holiday spot? Who is it that has the whole town up in arms, talking about the daily comings and goings of the infamous thief to have ever dared intimidate our men, women and children?

This is our call for revolution, on the seagull that’s robbing everybody of their half cut sandwiches, fresh from the bakers. He snatches sausage rolls from your fingers, before you can even get one bite. Who knows if they’re any good? The seagull does. He swoops in from behind and catches you off guard, in a split second you’ve had a face full of feathers and you’ve lost your lunch. You might laugh, but this is serious. He’s the talk of the town, lapping it up like he owns the place, behaving like Robin Hood feeding his merry little men. Every meal time is a risk. Will you get to eat what you’ve just bought, or will he?

Life in Deal can’t go on like this. There will be crying children and hungry tums in every direction and is this really where the torment ends? Where there’s one, there’ll come more. How many other seagulls are going to come looking for a piece of our pie? Do we really want Deal to become the next Cornwall? Do we want our sausage rolls of the east to become the infamously snatched Cornish pasties of the west? Where will the madness end? Who will save us from this monster?

If you’re feeling heroic, or fearing for your life, look out for him. He’s easy to spot. He’s a seagull for a start. Pristine white, like the Mr Whippy 99 ice cream he steals out of your hand from ‘The Parkour.’ If we can rid ourselves of this villain, we only run the risk of balaclava clad, moped riding, sledgehammer wielding, London gangs moving in on his turf. They only want to pinch your phone, not your ham salad sandwich. For goodness sake, think of the children.

Caffe Lambro – Caffe Lambro Taking The Festival Circuit And VIP Areas By Storm In 2018

lambro beckhamWe’ve had some fantastic weather for festivals this summer, and there’s plenty more where that came from.  The Caffe Lambro fleet of vintage Italian vans have been refreshing the revellers, pouring prosecco all over the place and the gorgeous guys and girls who came out to play have been lapping it up. We’ve made quite a name for ourselves in the VIP areas of all the hottest festivals this year, taking the summer season by storm, and it’s not over yet.

We kicked off the summer in style with a brand new music festival called the Neighbourhood Weekender, in Manchester, which was brilliant. We highly recommend it. Beth Ditto, Tom Walker, the Courteeners, and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds had us grinning from ear to ear as we filled flutes of bubbly and sang along.

Our popular little van Enzo made his debut on the festival circuit this year, parked in the shade and loving the attention, in the VIP colonnade at ParkLife Festival, in Manchester; where we snapped some happy campers slugging back bubbly and bopping along to the funky beats of Lorde, The XX, N.E.R.D., Skepta and caught our first sighting of Liam Gallagher.

Then Enzo’s brother Luca rocked up at Download Festival in Derbyshire to collaborate with Cranes Drinks in the VIP area. The cranbollini cocktails were going down a treat alongside our prosecco, which was ‘better than last year’s’ apparently! After that compliment we were ready to rock out to the classic anthems of Guns n Roses, Avenged Sevenfold and Ozzy Osbourne all weekend.

We were very excited to see The Killers, Manic Street Preachers, and Camila Cabello at Isle of Wight Festival. Of course, we also saw Liam Gallagher again but he didn’t remember us from that crazy night we spent together at Parklife. Ahem, we were serving bubbles and he was singing, what did you think we meant?

Morrissey might have disappointed us all by cancelling his tour dates and not playing at Sounds of the City in Manchester, but we were still chuffed to bits to see Shed Seven, Beautiful South and the awesome Rag n Bone Man while we were there.

But the highlight of the festival circuit so far has to be pouring bubbly for Brooklyn Beckham at Wireless Festival in Finsbury Park, London. Our ever popular van Luca made this new celebrity friend to namedrop for the rest of his days, while Beckham and his entourage tried to keep up with the drama surrounding headlining act DJ Khaled pulling out while Drake played a surprise set.

We might have been there, seen that, and done it all, but did we get a photograph with you? There’s still time to make yourself as famous as us – see you at Lovebox, Latitude, Bluedot, Kendal Calling, Reading Festival, Rize (formerly V Festival), On Blackheath or Festival No 6… Come find us!

If prosecco isn’t Liam’s favoured tipple I guess we will just have to Roll with It.

Little Deal Cottage – 5* Ratings For The Little Deal Cottage – AirBnB & TripAdvisor

5 star ratings.jpgThe Little Deal Cottage is clearly impressing its guests, collecting five star ratings across the board on AirBnB and TripAdvisor. Every guest that has booked, stayed, and evaluated the self-contained cottage in Deal has given us a glowing review, which of course, we expected. We know ourselves how beautiful this part of the world is, and we know what a guest wants from a stay here, because we’ve stayed at the cottage to experience the relaxing surroundings firsthand. Quite frankly, we cannot get enough of this place, and neither can our guests.

Of course we’re not surprised, considering all the great news we’ve reported on recently – being featured in The Sunday Times as one of the best places to live, the global golf tournaments that take place nearby, and the celebrities that come and go – as well as all this glorious sunshine we’re having, which fills our south-facing garden, lights up the seaside town, and makes the sea sparkle down on the local beaches.

The sun is setting later in the evening, and everyone is out to enjoy the extra hours of relaxed dinner al fresco, and drinks at the terrace bars, creating a happy buzz that fills the summer evening air. The sunsets are simply gorgeous to watch go down, and the clear skies at night make star-gazing from our sky-lit roll-top bath a regular treat.

The neighbours and locals are smiling from ear to ear, grateful to live in such a beautiful place, and our guests feel the same. Our Little Deal Cottage has been described as the ‘Perfect weekend getaway. Beautiful cottage in a wonderful location.’ and a ‘Beautiful cottage tucked away for perfect weekend getaway!’.

Caffe Lambro – Prosecco As The Driving Force Behind Reality TV

lambro proseccoProsecco has become the latest fashion trend across the UK, with celebrities accessorising their every move with flute filled to the brim with bubbly. Although prosecco is a classy choice of beverage, and Caffe Lambro serves it in that style, some celebrities are cheapening its reputation. The flute of prosecco held delicately in their manicured fingers is the only classy thing about them.

Charlotte Dawson can’t get enough of the stuff and has been seen to knock back glass after glass of prosecco on her TV appearances on Celebs Go Dating while Frankie Cocozza was attempting to get her into bed. Following their non-confirmed break-up, Charlotte went on a daily bender while working at the Five Star Hotel in Greece recently, alongside Spencer Matthews, Lydia Bright, Joey Essex and Holly Hagan, another celeb to tarnish the prosecco name. But we can’t knock Charlotte’s devotion to the ‘fizzy wine’, because whenever she appears on television, she demands prosecco, with her prawn cocktail crisps, cheesy chips & gravy. At least she’s consistent.

Due to Channel 4 and E4 shows alone, prosecco shares must be soaring, as couples on First Dates and guests at The First Dates Hotel are ordering prosecco throughout dinner, while contestants on Love Island are plied with the stuff in the hope that they’ll get drunk enough to make some gripping reality TV. Prosecco has a lot to answer for, considering most of those couples are still together.

But our saving grace is the show Made In Chelsea, who’s stars are decidedly classy and just as interesting as the louder, crasser celebs they’re compared to. The girls on Made In Chelsea love prosecco just as much as the rest of us, and if it’s good enough for them, it’s good enough for everyone. Vegan sisters Lucy and Tiffany Watson are clever enough to know prosecco is animal friendly, while Binky, Jamie Laing, and Louise Thompson surely toasted the birth of Binky and JP’s daughter, India, with their flutes of fizz.

Let Caffe Lambro maintain that touch of class at your wedding with their beautifully styled fleet of vintage Italian mobile prosecco vans. With all these celebrity weddings and engagements this summer, maybe Binky and JP, or Louise and Ryan, will be putting a ring on it and booking us too.

Little Deal Cottage – What’s the Deal this summer 2018?

deal summer 2018.jpgThis summer is looking to be an exciting variety show of events in Deal, and the surrounding areas of Kent. It promises to be a combination of the classic British seaside holiday and an English countryside experience that you’ll never forget. Whether you have children or you’re just a couple of big kids looking for something different, this list of events has something for everyone.

The infamous Deal Classic Motor Show is back on 26th May, opened by Vic Reeves and Nancy Sorrell. Over 800 classic vehicles will be on display, from 1900 to the modern day, while live music plays across two stages, drinks will be served from a real ale bar, while a retro market keeps the shoppers happy, and even the children will be entertained by performers and rides, to support the RNLI Walmer Lifeboat Association.

Solley’s Ice Cream Parlour are holding an Open Farm Sunday on 10th June, where they plan to run tours of the dairy and crops, to demonstrate how their very popular ice cream is made, followed by a one day music festival called Prom on the Farm on 1st July, which includes children’s entertainment to raise money for Martha Trust, a local charity.

The National Garden Scheme is host to a group of Open Gardens on 1st July, where you are invited to walk through beautifully maintained gardens throughout Deal including Sunnybank, Deal Gardens, 196 Downs Road, and the Old Church House. You can start the tour from any town car park and follow the signs to view the finalist for the Kent Life Amateur Gardener Award, lawns worthy of Wimbledon, duck through Wisteria archways and smell the roses.

The Deal Carnival and Regatta begins on 26th July, where hundreds will gather along the streets from The Strand to the end of The Marina to see the full assembly of dancers, bands, beauty queens, fitness groups and Newfoundland dogs. With 2017 described as the best year yet, this year should prove even bigger and better as the locals share their enthusiasm for this event.

If theatre is more your cup of tea, the Chapterhouse Theatre Company will be taking a trip down the rabbit hole to present the classic tale of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland at Walmer Castle and Gardens in Deal from 28th July. Then they’ll be back at the same venue on 23rd August with Sense and Sensibility, tracking the first forays of Elinor and Marianne Dashwood into Regency society; and on 24th August Robin Hood and his Merry Men will be stealing from the rich to give to the poor as they travel through Sherwood Forest.

There’s so much to see and do in Deal, not only our special summer events to keep everyone entertained, but a plethora of local attractions and consistent relaxed atmosphere. Why not book a weekend or more at the Little Deal Cottage and find out what all the fuss is about?

Caffe Lambro – Will They Serve Prosecco At The Celebrity Weddings Of Summer 2018?

lambro serve.jpgCaffe Lambro are still waiting for a call from the Queen while she plans the biggest wedding of the year, but we doubt Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be toasting with anything but champagne in the summer. However, the rest of the nation will probably choose prosecco as it becomes the more popular variety of bubbles. The UK have become the top consumers of prosecco as celebrities lead the way with their drink of choice, and we’ll definitely be raising our own flutes on Saturday 19th May.

The question is: will the second royal wedding of 2018 be as memorable as the first when Princess Eugenie marries her long-term boyfriend Jack Brooksbank in the same venue, St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle? And will their first dance be an Ed Sheeran song like so many other brides and grooms?

As one of the most popular first dance song artists, Ed Sheeran will have some trouble choosing his when he weds his childhood sweetheart Cherry Seaborn, and we’re pretty sure their guests will be sipping on the Italian bubbly. We’re hoping they’ll re-enact his ballroom sequence from the video of ‘Thinking Out Loud’ but it’s more likely to be ‘Perfect’, which Sheeran actually wrote about Cherry.

Some couples choose to keep it all under wraps. Following Amy Schumer’s surprise engagement and secret nuptials, any one of her guests could be next. The news was finally announced on Instagram, listing guests such as Jennifer Aniston, David Spade, Judd Apatow, and Jennifer Lawrence in attendance. But who caught the bouquet?

Meanwhile, the red carpet itself was brushed with the proposing knee of Idris Elba at the screening of his new film Yardie, and the crowd heard his girlfriend Sabrina Dhowre respond with a resounding yes, but this was just the beginning. The announcements have piled up quickly in the first few months of 2018 with the news that Gwyneth Paltrow is planning to get married for the second time, and a rumour that Michelle Williams is engaged too. It’s only March! There’ll be a shortage of single celebs soon!

Get in there quick and book Caffe Lambro for your mobile prosecco hire, before the celebrities beat you to it. First come first served, and we’ll be serving the finest Italian bubbles from our fleet of Lambro prosecco vans this summer at weddings, festivals and all the best events.
